Festival season is in full swing!
Here’s the list of where to be when the weekend comes!

Saturday, May 3rd

¿Qué Pasa? Festival 
Celebrate Cinco de Mayo and Latin American community of greater Richmond  Free boat rides in the “floating gardens,” live Latin music and performances along the Canal Walk while visitors enjoy scrumptious Latin-flavored food , beverages and shop for arts and crafts.  Downtown at the canal walk 11am-7pm

KidFest
Sat, May 3, 1-4pm at Deep Run Park
Calling all kids, a day in the park just for you! Children of all ages can try their hand at a game on carnival row, take a thrilling ride down the inflatable slide, battle through the obstacle course, dance to their favorite music, explore the Bookmobile, check out educational displays by local agencies and businesses, pet a monkey, meet animals at the “Children’s Farm,” and enjoy much more at this kid-tailored event! Concessions will be available for purchase. Information: 270-2161.

Happy Hearts and Arts Festival
11 am- 2 pm
Spring fresh fun for everyone at Montessori Center for the Child’s Happy Hearts and Arts festival!
Live music, moon bounce, science discovery area, cake walk, live craft demos, pony rides, yoga.
Located at Montessori Center for the Child, 122 N Courthouse Rd.  Richmond, VA 23236

Arts in the Park
More than 450 artists from around the U.S. will gather in Byrd Park to display everything from fine art paintings to jewelry and weavings. May 3rd, 11-6 p.m. and May 4th, 11-5 p.m., 2014 at at the Carillon in Byrd Park.

Sunday, May 4th

Furry Friends Jubilee
A day dedicated to the happiness, health, and wellness of our pets!  This festival is for the whole family, 2 legged and 4 legged friends, with games, contest, prizes, giveaways, demonstrations, and so much more. 12pm – 4pm at Where: 2460 Colony Crossing Place, Midlothian, VA 23112

Saturday, May 10th

The 35th Annual Strawberry Street Festival
Support William Fox Elementary School with games, rides,  strawberries,  vendors, auctions, raffles and more. 12:00pm – 4:30pm, 2300 Hanover Avenue.

Mid-Atlantic Balloon Festival
Hot Air Balloons, Virginia Food, Wine, Craft Beer, live music and a kids area will come together to create a new, regional and long-term event to celebrate Mother’s Day weekend in Virginia. Hot air balloon teams from all over the United States will join the event to make the Mid-Atlantic Balloon Festival one of Richmond and the Commonwealth’s most loved new events.

Our Lady of Lourdes Bull Roast Festival
Rock climbing wall, games, bouncy houses, dj, dancing and of course food! Fun for the whole family.

30th Annual Lebanese Food Festival
Taste delicious traditional Lebanese food like roasted lamb, falafel and baklava and enjoy music and dancing. Friday, May 16 and Saturday, May 17, 10 AM to 10 PM & Sunday, May 18, 2014, 10 AM to 8:00 PM at St. Anthony’s Maronite Catholic Church 4611 Sadler Road, Glen Allen, VA 23060

Dominion Riverrock
The nation’s premier outdoor lifestyle festival, bringing athletes, spectators, musicians, and even dogs to Brown’s Island for a three-day festival against the backdrop of downtown Richmond’s urban riverfront. The festival features a variety of outdoor sports including trail running, kayaking, biking, bouldering, slacklining, stand up paddleboarding, and dog jumping. The event was designed to promote Richmond’s unique riverfront, downtown trails and whitewater rapids to outdoor enthusiasts.

May 29th – June 1

39th Annual Greek Festival
The food at the annual Greek Festival is so good they have a drive thru!  Check out the Greek Festival for four days of amazing food, dancing, shopping and tours of the Saints Constantine and Helen cathedral.
Thursday: 11am-9:30pm, Friday & Saturday: 11am-10pm, Sunday: 12pm-7pm (Drive thru times subject to change)
