Noon Year‘s Eve at SMV 
December 31, 2014; 10 am – 1 pm

Ring in the New Year at the Museum! Watch our very own version of the ball drop, where we launch 2,015 bouncy balls using liquid Nitrogen at the strike of noon! Enjoy a juice toast, make your own noisemaker, construct a geodesic globe and much more.

 

Children’s Museum of Richmond New Year’s Eve Bash
December 31, 2014; 10-1pm

Ring in the new year at CMoR’s Annual New Year’s Eve Bash!
Come in costume for your chance to win a private Story Time with Elsa and Anna on January 10th at CMoR Central! There will be character appearances, story time, contests, and more with Countdown to Noon! All event activities are free with museum admission. CMoR Closes at 2pm on December 31st.
Available at all three CMoR locations!

 

Free Noon Year Event at Tuckahoe Library

Happy NOON Years at Monkey Joe’s
December 21, 2014; 12pm

Monkey Joe’s is getting ready to end the year with a BOUNCE BOOM BANG! Join us for our “Happy Noon Year’s Eve COUNTDOWN” event on December 31st. We will pass out noisemakers and spread BUBBLE WRAP throughout the store. We will do a countdown to 12 NOON and then let the kids JUMP and STOMP out all the BUBBLE WRAP!! If you remember last year then you know we had a BLAST!! Bring a friend and get there early!! $6 admission for everyone!! WhooHoo!!!

We will have lots of playtime, some special treats, and a countdown and toast at 2:00pm to ring in the new year!

 

New Year’s Eve Family Frolic
Wednesday, December 31, 2014; 2-5pm

Fun for all ages at Lewis Ginter Botanical Gardens.
All of the activities are inside the warm and cozy Kelly Education Center. Activities include: Live concert by the Ululating Mummies, Continuing our “Rolling in the New Year’s” tradition of rolling down the hill to the Rose Garden (weather permitting), Photo opportunities with the Garden Keeper & the Butterfly Fairy  — bring your cameras! , Make your own New Year’s  party hat, Write your wish for 2015 and add it to our “wishing chain”, Trains in classroom II in the Kelly Education Center & in the Conservatory.
Those who attend the New Year’s Eve Family Frolic and who are already in the Garden can stay to attend Dominion GardenFest of Lights (5 -10 p.m.)

 

First Night Williamsburg
December 31, 2014, Children’s shows start at 3pm.

First Night of Williamsburg is a family-oriented, non-alcoholic New Year’s Eve celebration of the performing arts presented throughout the City and on the campus of the College of William & Mary. Enjoy the area’s finest professional entertainers including singers, instrumentalists, magicians, storytellers, puppeteers, jugglers, clowns, bands, a Big Band orchestra and more!

 

ComedySportz NEW YEARS EVE – Early Show!
December 31, 2014 at 7pm

Its midnight SOMEWHERE! Join us for our interactive, all-ages show and toast the New Year with our other-time-zone countdown, special year-end games, and a milk & Twinkie toast (YEP! We got Twinkies!!!) for the young and young at heart! Grown-up drinks will be available for those who may be lactose intolerant, with all drink proceeds going to benefit CJ’s Thumbs Up Foundation! Tickets are $15 with advance reservation, $18 at the door (as if there will be any left at the door – our New Year’s Eve shows tend to sell out!)

Thunderbolt Karting News Year’s Eve Youth Lock-In
December 31, 2014 at 9pm

The perfect place for your teen to ring in the New Year. Open to teens, grades 7 – 12.  Space is limited, reserve your spot today!
The night includes: Unlimited Go Kart Racing, Games, Contests, Raffles and Food (Pizza, Soda, Cake, etc.) Registration and check-in is at 8:30pm on the day of the event. Attendees must be in the door by 9pm and picked up at 1am. Open to teens only, grades 7 – 12. Teens not able to leave the building during the lock-in.
