This weekend MommyCon comes to the Walter E. Washington Convention Center in Washington, DC.
MommyCon is a boutique style convention dedicated to bringing together modern parents and mothers-to-be. MommyCon focuses on natural and organic parenting methods while creating realistic expectations in this modern world. Families can expect a full day of seminars and workshops for parents and parents-to-be as well as over $10,000 worth of giveaways and gift bags for all attendees.
Seminars and workshops include:
-Cloth Diapering 101. Jennifer Labit, CEO and Founder of Cotton Babies will be sharing the Cotton Babies story and an introduction to cloth diapering products.
-Boobs & Bottles: Epic Milk. Mom of six and breastfeeding advocate, Jessica Martin-Weber of The Leaky Boob provides a humorous look at how nursing babies and toddlers and nurish the mother.
-Breastfeeding Myths. During this seminar, International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) and RN and Certified Nurse Midwife Shari Criso will be debunking breastfeeding myths and empowering women to succeed in their breastfeeding journey.
-Car Seat Safety. Take a factual and informative look at car seats for every budget, the importance of rear-facing and transitioning t0 the next seat style with The Baby Guy NYC, Jamie Grayson. A Q&A will be included.
Baby signing, baby wearing and potty training and other workshops will also take place throughout the day. See the full list of MommyCon events here.
In addition to workshops MommyCon will have 50 exhibitors, the Beco & Ergobaby Babywearing Lounge, the Cloth Diaper Resource Center with Dirty Diaper Laundry, Evenflo Feeding Lounge, Babyganics Baby Safe Play Space, The Baby Guy Gear Area and Baby Care Area with Baby Comfy Care.
