Kids Try Christmas Desserts from Every Decade (1920’s to Now)

100 years of Christmas Desserts
As Christmas gets closer, you may be planning your Christmas meal whether it is just for your family or for a large group.  One of the highlights is generally the Christmas desserts.  Now, everyone has their favorites but for most, the typical desserts are cookies, pies, cakes and chocolate.  Have you ever wondered what the Christmas desserts were in previous decades?  Bon Appétit recently came out with a video where kids tried some of the popular desserts of the past century.  Some of the responses are priceless.

Plum pudding with hard sauce
When a boy is asked what he would change about the dessert.  His response is,”What do I want to change? Much? But I would change stuff.”

Christmas trifle
When a boy is asked for his feedback on the dessert, he responds with “Mmmm.  I see colors much more clearly.”

We all have our favorite desserts around the holidays but we thought you would enjoy this fun video.  If you are interested in any of the desserts in the video, we have listed them below along with a recipe.
