Richmond OB-GYN, an obstetrics and gynecology provider of Bon Secours Richmond Health System, will open a new office at Bon Secours Heart and Vascular Institute building in Henrico County. The building, which serves as an extension of Bon Secours St. Mary’s Hospital, is located in Reynolds Crossing at Forest and Glenside Avenues. The practice will be open and operational for patients on March 20.
Bon Secours is pleased to announce that Alice Hirata, M.D., joined the Bon Secours Medical Group and is now part of the physician team at Richmond OB-GYN, where she will help to establish a midwifery practice at St. Mary’s Hospital. Dr. Hirata enjoys helping all of her patients manage their health to the best of their ability. At Richmond OB-GYN, she will focus on low-risk pregnancy, low-intervention birth and midwifery care. Dr. Hirata was previously with Virginia Women’s Center for 25 years.
Sarah Peterson, M.D., also joins the physician team at the new Henrico County office. Dr. Peterson joined Richmond OB-GYN last year and practiced at Bon Secours St. Francis Medical Center. She enjoys caring for women of all ages, with a particular interest in pediatric and adolescent gynecology. She is an advocate for low-intervention childbirth and is supportive of patients wishing to have a vaginal birth after having a cesarean section. Dr. Peterson is trained in minimally invasive surgical techniques, including both laparoscopic and robotic surgery.
