There was a time not so long ago when moms and dads tended to have very different roles around the house. Moms would cook, clean, and take care of the kids and dads would mow the lawn, fix things, and tell bad jokes. These days, while dads still tell bad jokes (don’t know why…they just do), most families have found that splitting up household responsibilities is the way forward. However, most of us would agree that moms and dads sometimes have a very approach to certain tasks – especially when it comes to taking care of the kids. I mean, really…what mom hasn’t groaned quietly (or not so quietly) to herself when dad offers to dress the kids and they all come out wearing superhero capes and clashing patterns?
Of course, that doesn’t mean moms aren’t happy to have dads help with some of the more dreaded kid-related chores, even if they sometimes have a slightly, well, less conventional way of doing it. In this week’s Share Saturday, we see what happens when one dad decides to give his wife a break from the nightly bath time routine. What ensues can only be described as the most epic bubble bath of all time. It’s as if his wife said, “Hey, do you think you can handle giving the kids a bath tonight?” And he replied, “Handle it? Ha. Watch this…”
While moms out there might cringe and only think of the mess they would have to clean up after the bath is done, you have to admit, this dad takes “fun dad” to the next level. And hey, if you think about it, his wife actually scored a double-whammy on this one. Not only did she get a night off from the bath time madness, but with bubbles like this, the kids will want dad to be in charge of bath time from here on out!
