For many of us in the Richmond area, running is an ideal form of exercise. Thanks to incredible trails along the James River, countless park with dedicated running paths and trails, and plenty of runner-friendly neighborhoods, it doesn’t take much to find a perfect running circuit. Not only is running a (relatively) inexpensive hobby, but it’s also an incredibly healthy one. But it’s always fun to take things up a notch or even just change our scenery for a bit. That’s why we put together a list of some of the best Richmond races and fun runs available this spring.
Even if you’re not an avid runner, we can all use the opportunity to stretch our legs a little – especially after a long winter like the one we’ve just had. For many families, running can be a great way to spend time together. This list of Richmond races and fun runs will offer each member of your family something that works for their fitness levels and goals. From kid-focused fun runs, to challenging obstacle course, to wacky costumed walk/runs for the whole family, Richmond has something for everyone.
Take a look at our Richmond races and fund runs available this April through the end of June 2018, and if you know of one that we might have overlooked, let us know! Drop us a line at [email protected] and tell us about it. We’ll do our best to get it on the list.
