Having sisters is a special thing. Growing up, they’re your first playmates, your best friends, and your partners in crime. If you’re lucky, that special bond remains with you for a lifetime. In the case of Mary Bartnicki, Josie Cavaluzzi, and Teresa Dahlquist the bond of sisterhood has proven timeless. The three sisters, all now grandmas in their 70s and 80s, have not only remained best friends, but they haven’t stopped getting up to mischief – and making it look like a blast along the way.
The sisters, known as the 3 Golden Sisters, first came onto the scene when they created a YouTube channel of themselves watching – and commenting on – popular online videos. Eventually, they caught the eye of Oprah Winfrey, who produced a reality show starring the spunky trio. After hearing the Bronx born-and-raised grandmas banter, it doesn’t take long to realize why they found the stardom they did…these girls are just plain funny.
Needless to say, when we saw them watching a video of the popular dance “The Nae Nae,” adding their signature commentary along the way, we went back for a second look. And thank goodness we did, because what happens at the end of the video is pure gold!
As you might have guessed, just watching the video wasn’t enough for these ladies. No, they had to try it out for themselves. And while grandmas are amazing no matter what…dancing grandmas? Well, that’s just icing on the cake.
Watch the 3 Golden Sisters bust a move and see why we think these ladies are #grandmagoals all the way!
