What Every Mom Feels Like During Winter Break

Winter Break 1Winter break comes at a time when we’re all ready for it. Kids are excited for the holidays and need some time off from busy school schedules. Teachers count down the moments until they can leave the classroom behind. Parents are ready for mornings that don’t involve packing school lunches and searching for missing gloves as the school bus pulls up. But once the hustle and bustle of wrapping presents in secret (i.e., the middle of the night after kids have gone to bed), visits with Santa, frantic trips to the mall, Christmas cards that get sent too late, and family visits that don’t seem to end, winter break quickly loses its luster.

Once the holidays are done, parents find themselves facing days of open-ended schedules and kids who are “bored” despite piles of brand new toys and games. It doesn’t take long for us to start looking at the calendar and silently counting the seconds until we can send the kids back to school and resume some semblance of normal life.

In today’s Share Saturdays video, the mom team from What’s Up Moms remind us of what winter break really looks like for moms everywhere – from the post-Christmas chaos to the in-laws that just won’t leave. This video had us laughing out loud – only because laughing is better than crying, right?!

If you’re in the midst of a winter break meltdown, then give yourself a much-needed few minutes to watch this all-too-true video and remember – you’re not alone, mama!

In the meantime, we hope you’ve had an amazing holiday season and we wish you all the best in the new year!

For more funny, heartwarming, and oh-so-relatable videos like this one, be sure to check out Richmond Mom’s entire Share Saturdays series!
