Just last weekend, Puxatawney Phil, the famous weather-predicting groundhog, did not see his shadow. According to Groundhog Day legend, that means we’re in for an end to winter and an early spring. Not many of us who have endured the last few weeks of winter are inclined to believe it – even after a few days of warmer weather last week. But considering that according to USA Today, this is only the 19th time out of 123 in recorded history that Puxatawney Phil hasn’t seen his shadow…well, we can always hope.
