One of the best things about living in a state like Virginia is that we get all four seasons. To be fair, some seem a little longer than others….which only makes the arrival of the next one that much more welcome. And here in Virginia, summers can be long. Not just because the kids are home and climbing the walls for most of the season, but because it gets hot. Needless to say, most of us are ready for fall when it finally rolls around. But fall is not only a welcome relief from scorching summer days, it’s also one of the area’s best seasons thanks to beautiful changing foliage, great outdoor activities like apple picking, fall festivals, an excuse to wear leggings, and of course, some would say, the arrival of pumpkin spice everything.
With all of that said, it’s no wonder some of us get a little ahead of ourselves the moment the first leaf hits the ground indicating the imminent arrival of fall. However, after seeing today’s Share Saturdays video, it’s clear the phenomenon of OEAF (Over-Excitement About Fall) is not exclusive to our area. Apparently, this condition is everywhere – or at least in Cleveland, Ohio where Team Balmert, the makers of today’s video, hail from. This husband-wife duo, along with their kids, produce a weekly series of family-friendly videos documenting their journey through parenthood and marriage. As you’ll see in today’s video, the results are usually pretty spot on!
So if you find yourself staring longingly out the window, a pair of a leggings clutched in one hand and a pumpkin spice latte in the other, just waiting for that first leaf to fall, then you’ll love knowing you’re not alone. Take a look at today’s Share Saturdays video for proof!
