It’s time to Wine Down with us at The Wine Loft on Wednesday, November 5, 2014.

Each month we give away great prizes, soak up a relaxed atmosphere, chow down on delicious free appetizers and have a really great time… who knew philanthropy could be this fun?!

If you haven’t joined us for Wine Down yet here’s what you can expect:

• $10 at the door goes directly to charity.
• Generous glasses of wine at a great discount.
• Delicious FREE appetizers provided by The Wine Loft.
• Raise more money for the selected non-profit by purchasing raffle tickets and winning great prizes.
• Meet new people (like Christa and Sarah from Richmondmom.com) and network or grab a quiet spot for you and a friend to enjoy a kid-free catch up.

As much as $1,000 is raised each month in just a couple hours at each event at the Wine Loft so feel good about connecting with other parents, family-focused businesses and raising money for a great cause.

We’re kicking off  Wine Down season by raising funds for Autism Society of Central Virginia.

About CJSTUF

The CJ’s Thumbs Up Foundation (CJSTUF) was founded in little Charlotte Jennie’s (CJ) name by her parents, Rachel and Roger Reynolds, as a mechanism to “pay it forward” for all of the help and support they received during CJ’s battle with cancer – and to help others in need. Read more about CJ’s story at this link. CJSTUF helps families who are suffering through the challenges of having a child with cancer – many of them face financial challenges and have other needs as well. CJSTUF relies on donations from people like Richmond moms, dads, grandparents, and singles to continue helping people who need it most.

About Full Circle

Full Circle was established in 2008 as a comprehensive grief resource center for children, adults, and their families to find a variety of creative ways to express their grief, such as art, writing, play, crafting, photography, and music.

Often, children do not have the language or communication skills to explain how they are feelings when experiencing grief. Creative arts help children convey their feelings of loss and explore their thoughts and beliefs. Also, because violent or traumatic experiences regularly get recorded in the mind as images or pictures, art can help children recount details of a traumatic loss more effectively than just talking.

Full Circle believes in:

• the power of the group process
• the benefits of creative expression
• the importance of groups being facilitated by experienced professionals
• the need to assist the entire family, not just the child
• the importance of providing grief support to all individuals, regardless of their ability to pay

About Noah’s Children

Noah’s Children is Central Virginia’s only pediatric palliative care and hospice program. They serve infants, children and adolescents with serious illnesses and support their families.

At this time, they are able to care for all children who need hospice or palliative care without charging, thanks in part to donor support and the support of the Bon Secours Richmond Health System, which pays for administrative costs. The event will help raise money for this important cause – and  you will enjoy FREE appetizers (and we mean DELICIOUS!), discounted wines, and unbelievably awesome door prizes! Cataract Mission is for people who do not have insurance (including Medicare or Medicaid) and do not have the financial means to pay for cataract surgery.  The program is put on completely by the volunteer physicians and staff at Virginia Eye Institute.
