The Dooleys had it all: wealth, a beautiful castle-like home, lavish receptions, and a large domestic staff to maintain their lifestyle. Elegantly costumed ladies and gentlemen and members of the household staff acquaint you with the social rituals, fashions, family dramas and important tittle-tattle of the day in Richmond and beyond. Who is the most beautiful bride of 1895? What scandalous woman is divorcing? What are the stylish ladies wearing? And what did the coachman overhear? All is revealed as guests are transported to the Downton era at Maymont ‘Abbey.’ Guided tours available every half-hour; last tour begins at 4:30pm.
