I suppose we shouldn’t have doubted the groundhog.
If we get as much snow as hype this week you’ll need this list we made last year of great spots to go sledding in Richmond. We also have a few egg carton crafts and if you stock up on milk, only to get an inch of snow you may want this list too. Whether you stay in or go out, please remember to bundle up. It’s seriously cold out there and if it does snow, you may want to call ahead to make sure these events are still happening.

This is the first time fans can purchase individual game tickets and taste Chin Music, the premier beer from Center of the Universe Brewing Company. Fans are also encouraged to bring in a new or used baseball glove to be donated to the Richmond Parks & Recreation Department. For each donated glove fans will receive a raffle ticket for lots of FUNN prizes!!
The annual event is free to attend and will feature music, games, kids bounce houses and a petting zoo.
The first 25 fans to purchase single game tickets will also receive a free Squirrels T-shirt along with the opportunity to watch fireworks from the field on Opening Night.

A new class for preschool aged kids allows children to experience story books in a whole new way!
Make yourself comfortable and enjoy some hot coffee in the lobby while your preschooler takes a multisensory journey through a favorite work of children’s literature using age appropriate process-based creative drama. This 8 week program is one hour long and specifically designed by the experts at The Children’s Theatre at Willow Lawn, for children ages 3 ½ – 5 years old for a perfect introduction to the magical world of theatre.
Best part: you can scope out this new class for FREE Monday, January 27th at 10 o’clock in the upstairs lobby of the Children’s Theatre of Virginia at Willow Lawn. The lesson will run about 45 minutes to an hour long and parents are invited to stay and see what it’s all about.
No need to register for the free class– Just show up!
