It’s time to Wine Down at The Wine Loft!
Call your friends, get your sitter, do whatever you need to do to make sure you’re hanging out with us Wednesday April 1, 2015.

Each month we give away great prizes, soak up a relaxed atmosphere, chow down on delicious free appetizers and have a really great time… who knew philanthropy could be this fun?!
If you haven’t joined us for Wine Down yet here’s what you can expect:
– $10 at the door goes directly to charity.
– Generous glasses of wine at a great discount.
-Delicious FREE appetizers provided by The Wine Loft (if you haven’t been there yet, you’re in for a real treat).
– Raise more money for the selected non-profit by purchasing raffle tickets and winning great prizes.
-Meet new people (like Richmondmoms Christa and Sarah) and network or grab a quiet spot for you and a friend to enjoy a kid-free night to catch up.

As much as $1,000 is raised each month in just a couple hours at each event at the Wine Loft so feel good about connecting with other parents, family-focused businesses and raising money for a great cause.

In April we raise a glass (and some funds) for the incredible work done by Safe Harbor.

Safe Harbor is the only dedicated sexual and intimate partner violence program in Henrico County. Our mission is to empower survivors of sexual and domestic violence to transform their lives, and to promote healthy relationships for all. SafeHarbor offers comprehensive services for survivors of sexual and/or intimate partner violence including: A 24-hour helpline, children/youth services, community education and training, trauma-informed counseling, court advocacy, emergency shelter and hospital accompaniment. All of our services are confidential and free of charge to anyone seeking help. We are here to create a community filled with happy, healthy relationships. Join us!

This month we’re raising funds for Junior Achievement of Central Virginia!

Junior Achievement (JA) empowers young people to own their economic success. Delivered by positive adult role models who volunteer their time, JA programs encourage students to be entrepreneurial and financially literate while preparing them for the 21st century workforce. Partnering with over 250 area businesses and community organizations – as well as Chesterfield, Hanover, Henrico, Petersburg and Richmond school systems – JA serves over 25,000 students in Central Virginia annually through 2,173 dedicated volunteers. Junior Achievement also works with schools and educators to match JA programs to the Virginia Standards of Learning (SOL’s) so that JA lessons support and reinforce existing state-mandated expectations for student learning.  Recent evaluation results indicate that students score 31% higher on financial assessments than their peers, after participating in JA.

We’re kicking off  Wine Down season by raising funds for The Pink Tie Gala- The eighth annual dance to raise funds for Breast Cancer awareness, grant programs, survivor support, education, and research, in our community.

About CJSTUF

The CJ’s Thumbs Up Foundation (CJSTUF) was founded in little Charlotte Jennie’s (CJ) name by her parents, Rachel and Roger Reynolds, as a mechanism to “pay it forward” for all of the help and support they received during CJ’s battle with cancer – and to help others in need. Read more about CJ’s story at this link. CJSTUF helps families who are suffering through the challenges of having a child with cancer – many of them face financial challenges and have other needs as well. CJSTUF relies on donations from people like Richmond moms, dads, grandparents, and singles to continue helping people who need it most.

• The Wine Loft Richmond is a cozy atmosphere that allows for great FREE food, discounted wine, and fun networking during the event – so bring a friend, or two, or three! Or come alone, we’ll introduce you around.
• Win prizes! For every entry fee of $10, you will receive a raffle ticket and you might win a great prize. Additional tickets may be purchased for $1 each (so bring lots of dollars!)  We give away photography gift certificates, Richmond Rocks books,  and lots of cool prizes you will love.
• All funds raised will benefit the non-profit. Contact us if you are unable to attend, but would like to mail a donation.
• As much as $1,000 is raised each month in just a couple hours at each event at the Wine Loft – we raised over $1,200 at our May 2013 event!
• Over the last three years, we’ve raised thousands of dollars for great Richmond non-profits just by having fun.
