Then don’t miss the 6th Annual Breast Cancer Survivor Celebration on September 30, 2011 at noon. It’s all taking place at the elegant Jefferson Hotel in downtown Richmond. Survivors, friends and family members are invited. The keynote address will be given by Katrina McGhee from Susan G. Komen for the Cure. She’ll talk about how one Promise made 30 years ago between two sisters has changed how we view and treat breast cancer forever.

Attendees receive a copy of Nancy Brinker’s memoir, Promise Me. Purchase tickets before September 16 and you’ll be entered in a drawing for a free American Airlines ticket. Tickets for survivors are $25 and $35 for others. Tables of 10 can be purchased for $250.
