Two Moms Find Gem of a Business While Serving the Richmond Community & Caring for Their Families!
Fun, funky, friendly: Fandangle. When two moms combined their flair for fashion and desire for flexibility on a vacation in 2003, a bead-blending business was born! The jewelry created by owners Lori Rowland (mom of 3, including twins) and Claiborne Mason (mom of 2), is showcased all over Richmond, at craft shows, fundraisers, and on their website, www.fandanglebeads.com.
The unique creations brewed up by this duo—in their dining rooms---are fashionable, colorful, and economical: they differentiate by offering pieces under $75. And you’d better be quick—their designs are so unique, and supplies often so scarce, that once they’ve sold out, that particular style may be retired. Never fear, though: the Fandangle offering includes hundreds of unique styles, so there is always something for everyone.
Clasps and toggles are made primarily of sterling silver, and each piece is versatile enough to go from boardroom to night-on-the-town. With category names such as “Girls Night Out” and “Tie One On” Fandangle combines kitschy character with beautiful bead to form a polished product.
“Our families are so supportive, and my husband has even helped me make a necklace on occasion!” Lori shared. With a strong interest in their volunteer roles in the Richmond community, the ladies of Fandangle appreciate the incredible flexibility and creativity this jewel-stringing business provides. These Richmond moms are role models and proof that a creative hobby—plus a little elbow grease---can turn out to be a gem.
