 One-on-one makes the difference at Core Kids Academy A young girl pulls tighter as she reaches, up, up, up the climbing rope in the Core gym. Last week she could only make it halfway. This week, it’s straight to the top.Cora Pedrazzi is watching closeby with a satisfied smile, clearly evident as she jumps into every class (literally) she creates at her business, Core Kids Academy. After just over one year in business, this mom-of-three and her team have grown her life-long passion into a thriving, bouncing, and literally flipping shop-full-of-activity near Regency Mall. The class schedule and concept are simple: keep the sizes small, attention levels high, and results off-the-charts. We love the fact that Cora knows each of the kids, and often grows to know their siblings, and she really cares about their progress.  Says Cora, “I can see the improvement and confidence growing, whether it’s a preschooler trying to tumble or a teenager who is serious about gymnastics. At every level, the results are visible everyday. What a reward.” Core helps kids who are serious about gymnastics and other sports, or just want to exert and learn in a bright & fun environment.Another neat point: Cora has a soft spot for special needs kids and encourages kids at every physical ability level to jump in and try one of their programs. She’s innovative, and recently developed and launched a course just for boisterous boys: it’s been an instant hit. What’s next on the Core Academy’s agenda? An after-school program in the fall of 2009. For Richmond moms and dads, the choices are endless: Core Academy offers summer camps, birthday parties, and parents night out. Says Cora, “I spent so much time nurturing my three children, now 13, 12, and 8, and now that they’re older, I’m able to focus on my dream to help tons of Richmond kids achieve their goals.
