VA Historical Society bursting with activities July 9th, all free

Ivori Randolph having fun at the VA Historical Society Open House last year.

There is plenty to see and do at the Virginia Historical Society on an average week or weekend day. But on Saturday, July 9th during the VHS Free Family Day Open House, the museum will be bursting with activities!

Why would anyone miss this event? Here’s the scoop:

  • Admission and all activities are FREE.
  • Games, historical demonstrations, trivia, register-to-win opportunities, music, crafts, children’s activities, behind-the-scenes tours, and much more!
  • First 100 visitors receive a free gift!

This year’s theme is the Civil War to correspond with the “An American Turning Point” exhibit that is on display. (By the way, An American Turning point has more than 200 objects, 17 audio visual units, and several interactive elements that appeal to both children and adults.) There is more information on the VA Historical Society website about all that cool stuff.
