Hope is Back and it’s all FREE – Mark Your Calendar Now

Richmond's Hope Harris brings music to life on her new CD.

Hope Harris & The Cousins Jamboree were a huge hit at Short Pump Mall today (June 14, 2011) — and now they’ll be back for even more great entertainment in July – and it’s all FREE!

Hope Harris’ show is a fully staged theatrical experience, a down-home, good-times celebration showcasing country, swing, jazz, blues, ’50s rock & roll, folk, and show-tune sounds – a true montage of American music that also includes plenty of audience participation. With the help of Hope’s magical musical maracas, children and adults conjure sparkly apple seeds, plant them, water them, and grow giant, juicy, bouncing apples.

Fans are invited to “dance in the rain with Gelbart Dufrain” and join Hope’s giant conga line, as well as to don their alien space suits, report to the mother ship, and launch flying saucers to the moon!  Hope Harris & The Cousins Jamboree are sure to offer plenty of their “greatest hits,” including “Howdy Hello,” “Cousins Jamboree,” “Hang on Friend,” “Babysitter,” “Seatbelt Buckled,” and “Eddie the Otter.”  Hope’s shows are a multi-generational delight.  Kids love the rhythm, music and theatrical adventure, while adults appreciate the layered arrangements, positive messages, and wacky fun!

As a graduate of the University of Virginia, Hope has now made Richmond her home. This is a unique opportunity to see her live along with her own brand of theatrical musical magic.

It’s all happening on the following dates:

  • 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, July 12 at Club Mom in the Food Court of Chesterfield Towne Center, 11500 Midlothian Turnpike, Richmond VA
  • 7:30 p.m. on Friday, July 29, 2011 at Movies on the Avenues, Westhampton School Playing Fields, 5800 Patterson Avenue at Maple Avenue in Richmond (followed by a free showing of the movie Gnomeo and Juliet).

Don’t miss this time of fun, dancing, singing, and lots of family friendly fun. Mark your calendars and we guarantee that you and your kids will love what you see and hear!
