International Food Festival Explodes with Family Fun in Short Pump

The International Food Festival is Saturday, September 24 in Short Pump.

This weekend offers an unusual opportunity to enjoy international cuisine, activities and fun with the entire family. It’s all at the First annual Stratford University Food and Culture Festival in Short Pump.

There will be plenty of dancing, singing, food and fun on Saturday, September 24, 2011 to recognize and celebrate international cuisine Approximately 30 vendors from areas including Mexico, Peru, Brazil, Thailand, India, Russia, Turkey, El Salvador, France, and other countries and regions will be on hand to offer an array of international food samples and meals.

The Children’s Corner will feature arts, crafts, face painting, henna tattoos, fire truck/police car tours, a moon bounce, and more. Kids will love the activities offered by the Children’s Museum of Richmond and moms will love the jewelers, artists and other local market vendors at the event.

Downtown Short Pump partners with Stratford University’s Culinary Arts School to present this event. Admission is FREE and entrees range in price from $3 – $5, making it very affordable.There will also be plenty of fun treats for all ages.

The event will be held at Stratford University’s Short Pump Campus at 11104 W. Broad Street, Glen Allen, VA 2 3060.
