Have you ever thought about volunteering but weren’t sure how to go about doing it? Maybe you’d love to manage a service project and team up with local agencies to lend a hand.
HandsOn Greater Richmond is making it easier for Richmond moms to reach out and use their talents, experience, and skills to help others. They are currently recruiting for Volunteer Leaders who they will train to manage service projects and manage volunteers. They will use these Volunteer Leaders to help them run volunteer projects with various agency partners throughout the year.
Trainings in November
HandsOn Greater Richmond is holding two November trainings and they need help. They provide professional development and social opportunities in addition to other training for Volunteer Leaders. Trainings are held on Saturday, November 5 from 9 a.m. until 1:00 p.m., or on Wednesday, November 30 from 5:30 p.m. until 9:30 p.m.
Reach Out
If you are committed to helping others and are able to communicate effectively, you have great skills as a volunteer leader. Having access to the Internet and being resourceful with a positive attitude is also an important qualification.
