Richmond Rocks great for kids learning Richmond history

Last week, we had the pleasure of reading at Swift Creek Elementary School, and are always pumped up by the kids and the amazing, fun comments they have about Richmond Rocks, our story about three little Richmond kids who are bored and, upon finding a small relic of the Civil War, are whisked away on a journey right in their own city.

Upon taking a breath from finishing reading, the fourth-graders, well into chapter books at this stage, were curious: What was your inspiration for Richmond Rocks? When did you start writing? How long did it take you to put the book together? And, our personal favorite: Who was your favorite President? ummmmm, we’re still thinking on that one.

Richmond Rocks has been a blast for us to put together and read at local schools, and we’re thrilled to give back at school events with 20% of pre-tax sales going directly to the schools. If you’d rather pick it up in stores, just click here for a list of locations for Richmond Rocks Childrens Book.

Thanks for supporting this effort!
