Congratulations to Kate Hall – Style Weekly announced today that she is one of their “2012 40 Under 40“!
And why not – Kate is an incredible force in the world of communications, media, blogging, and all things related to kids and moms.
In addition to being the creator and owner of Richmondmom.com and a creative entrepreneur on her own, Kate has over 15 years of Project Management experience in Human Resources with Fortune 500 companies. She infuses her entrepreneurial spirit, professionalism, fun, and expertise into her work, family life, and social life every day.
She is also a relentless advocate for anything related to kids and creating a healthy, safe, happy, and encouraging environment and community.
Kate found herself unemployed after being laid off as a successful project manager with her local Fortune 500 company. But she is a dynamic leader with a creative spirit who does not sit still – she makes things happen and she creates change. So she didn’t ‘lay off’ of anything for very long.
Coffee and Richmondmom Brewing
Sitting at her kitchen table over several pots of coffee, she refined her plans to make her dream come true of creating a website/blog that gave Richmond moms and dads. She envisioned a place where they could find valuable resources and information instantly.
Equipped with valuable experience as a project manager and being a mom to her own 3 children, she had the knowledge and skills to make it a reality. And, she had the passion to push it forward and that’s exactly what she did. Kate launched Richmondmom.com and her entrepreneurial spirit kicked into over-drive as she worked tirelessly to succeed.
She is also author of the book, Richmond Rocks! that introduces children (and adults) to the many wonders of Richmond and encourages exploration of our great city. 20% of her book sales from book signings go back to schools/non-profits. She is finalizing her next book for release later this year.
Giving Back
A minimum of 5% of her personal blog’s net profits benefit Richmond Charities, particularly children’s non-profits. She makes this possible through promotional partnerships, in-kind advertising, and donations (watch her rappel off the SunTrust building for Special Olympics later this week).
Reaching for Greater Heights
Richmondmom.com under her direction hit over 100,000 unique visitors in 2011 and we are on track to exceed 150,000 unique visitors in 2012.
She is a dynamic leader bouncing between multiple roles as an entrepreneur and professional – and successfully meeting the challenge daily.
Kate is currently also employed full-time at Capital One in Richmond where she is a Project Manager – juggling her work as an entrepreneur with her website and her ‘day job’ – while balancing her role as wife, mother, daughter, friend, and community advocate.
No one under or over 40 works with more enthusiasm and excitement for helping others and giving back to our local community than Kate. She not only pushes herself to extreme limits, but she pushes and inspires thousands of Richmond women to do the same through Richmondmom.com.
Kate is turning her 30′s into an era of change by creating and continually enhancing an incredibly resourceful blog. It’s a blog that continually reaches out to thousands of women and contributes thousands of dollars to local charities.
Why?
Just because she cares and makes things happen!
That’s why Kate Hall rocks Richmond!
