Linda Stevens and Betty Gregory: November 2012 Rockstars X2

Linda Stevens and Betty Gregory are our November 2012 Rockstars. It’s unorthodox to have two great Rockstars in one month, but then again – Richmondmom.com is always doing the unexpected and the unusual! We couldn’t let another month go by without recognizing these two women who have made Wine Down events successful throughout the year.

Linda Stevens

Linda Stevens was chosen as a Rockstar because she really shakes things up! Linda is a woman filled with energy, passion and enthusiasm for life. She loves helping others more than anything else she can do.

When it comes to her business role at Gundlach Plumbing and Heating where she and her two sisters run the local family-owned business, she says:  “Our Gundlach employees feel like extended family and we all get excited when we are able to help people. It’s great to work with people who take pride in what they do and who want everyone to be successful. When I go home at the end of the day, I feel good about what we do.”  That could mean helping an elderly person get the heating resources she needs at the most reasonable price available (or LESS!), or offering a helping hand for a disabled person who can’t afford a hot water heater.

Linda Stevens, Betty Gregory, and Lorrie Gore – making a difference!

And when it comes to helping others outside her business role, she is just as committed and passionate. She and her sisters, Lorrie Gore (our October 2012 Rockstar) and Betty Gregory, support  monthly Wine Down events to benefit local non-profits throughout the year. She is always enthusiastic about the event and is a faithful attendee. But she does more than that. She helps us prepare and set up for the event when we need it and she is not shy about scouring the community for giveaways to encourage fundraising efforts.

Linda’s passion for socializing and enjoying time with people really pays off when it comes to helping others. She is quick to identify people who need help and finds ways to help them. She has an affinity for working with people and solving their problems – and she loves interacting with everyone to shake things up and make things happen.

Betty Gregory

Betty Gregory

Betty worked with her father in the plumbing business from a very young age and learned the importance of treating customers fairly and respectfully. After managing rental properties and then working in the warranty department of Royal Oldsmobile, she returned with a deeper understanding of the business world outside Gundlach.

She came back to the family business with a strong desire to make a difference – and she continues to make a difference every day at work and outside of work.

Betty puts the lessons learned from her father into action every day as she manages the office operations, scheduling, and other general office functions. She has gained the respect of everyone in this “male dominated industry” through her ability to quickly respond to questions, resolve issues, and manage office operations. But Betty doesn’t stop at offering support and encouragement at work.

Betty is also actively involved in our Wine Down events each month to help raise money for local charities. She knows that everyone can make a difference and no amount of money or volunteering is too small to make that difference. Like her sisters, Betty is always looking for ways to make life easier for others and she has supported many of our local fundraisers for charitable causes.

We are fortunate to have Linda and Betty (along with Lorrie) behind our Wine Down events and other fundraisers throughout the year. They really rock and we know they will enjoy their much deserved massages from Massage Envy.

Congratulations to our November Rockstars!
