Richmond is known for fantastic food festivals of every type. But the newest food festival to come to town is going to be one of the best for sure!
Brown Distributing is putting on Richmond’s very first Bacon Festival. Yep – BACON!
The first Annual Richmond Bacon Festival will be held on June 9, 2013 at 17th Street Farmer’s Market in Shockoe Bottom from noon until 5pm. Admission is free and they are selling beer tickets for $6 and food plates are $3 each. But keep in mind that all tickets are cash only so be sure and have money on hand (ATM will be onsite but the lines are likely to be long!).
According to Facebook, there will be some delicious bacon dishes from more than 20 of Richmond’s most popular restaurants. Their Facebook page says, “Sample unique bacon-centric dishes from more than 20 of Richmond’s most popular restaurants and wash it all down with a selection of 20+ Virginia craft beers from Devils Backbone Brewery and Bold Rock Hard Cider.”
Live music, local vendors, and more will round out what is sure to be an especially delicious day!
Visit the Facebook page to RSVP and keep up with all of the details. See you at the Bacon Festival!
