ACAC Summer Camp -The ultimate Richmond day camp nestled in Midlothian close to the James River.  Summer Camp at acac Fitness & Wellness Center combines indoor and outdoor fun for enjoyable play all day. Campers enjoy daily swimming, movies in the theater, field games, inflatables, arts and crafts, sports and weekly field trips.

Academy of Academic Excellence. AAE Summer Experience is a unique, full day summer camp that runs the week after graduation. Each day of the week is filled with fun and exciting activities in Art, Music, Science, Technology, Physical Education, Spanish, Chess, and Creative Writing instructed by AAE’s own teaching professionals.

Art Works Summer Camps. Your child will enjoy 5 days of art  classes designed to provide both 2 and 3 dimensional experiences.

Asperger’s Syndrome: Charter House Summer Camp for Teens with Asperger’s Syndrome. Summer is a great time for teenagers to learn new skills and make new friends. For teens with Asperger’s Syndrome or high-functioning autism, it can be a challenge to find a summer camp that fits their needs. Autism: Special Needs Camp – Weinstein JCC –  Voices Together is for children with autism that offers stimulating activities while offering some socialization skills.

Flying Squirrels Baseball Camp Registration is OPEN. For all kids ages 4-14. The Flying Squirrels have two baseball camps tailored for beginners and advanced baseball players.

Basketball Making of  a Champion Camps. These co-ed camps offer a wonderful opportunity for players of all skill levels to learn the game of basketball. Our goal is to build champions in body, mind and spirit, on and off the court, one child at a time. Learn the fundamentals in an atmosphere of fun, sportsmanship, teamwork and commitment to excellence.

Blue Sky Fund’s Outdoor Leadership Institute: A two week leadership program for current 8th, 9th, and 10th graders from all backgrounds.  The youth will get to experience a 5 day backpacking trip and learn how to serve their community better. Bricks 4 Kidz Camps. A Bricks 4 Kidz® camp is a fresh and fun way for kids to spend their summer break using LEGO (r) bricks! Brilliant Summer at St. Catherine’s. The campus at St. Catherine’s will be transformed into a unique experience for boys and girls from 3 year olds through rising grade 12…and even a little something for adults.

Camp Blue Sky at Rainbow Station.  Camp Blue Sky is divided into three divisions according to the ages of our campers. While each division is involved in our traditional day camp program, all of our activities are designed specifically to meet the developmental needs of the campers in each division. Within each division, campers are put into small groups based on age and gender.

Camp Alkulana. Camp Alkulana’s vision is to be a family that embodies the abounding love of God in a way that transforms the world around us.The camp has been in continuous operation since it began in 1915.

Camp Baker. Greater Richmond ARC’s Camp Baker is a full-service, handicap-equipped retreat facility located on 22 wooded acres near the Pocahontas State Park in Chesterfield County, Virginia. Camp Baker supports children from age six through adults who have developmental disabilities.

Camp C.H.E.F. – Last year  and our Sophie House Camps helped to raise $1,000 in support of the Sophie House mission to provide supportive services for single mothers and their children. Campers will learn with  Chef Cathy and staff  about gardening, cooking with fresh “farm to table” ingredients, and table manners. With the support of our partners, the YMCA of Greater Richmond and Field of Dreams Farms, the summer was a complete success. Click here to learn more about the Field of Dreams Farm.

Camp Diva Summer Retreat.  A five-week, full-day, rites of passage day camp for girls 11-15 years old (girls entering grades 6-9 in the fall). It is the only program in the Richmond Metropolitan area geared toward the growth and development of African-American girls.

Camp Easter Seals – When you come to Camp Easter Seals UCP, you will make lasting friendships and have the experience of a lifetime.  With options of 6 and 12 days we host the following sessions: Children & Young Adults (6-22 years old); Adult Sessions (22 and older); Family Camp (all ages- friends too); Performing Arts Camp (10 and up).

Camp Friendship Registration is OPEN.  One and two-week sessions for boys and girls ages 6-16.  Facilities offer a lake, swimming pool, gym, tennis courts, stables and horse riding, archery, golf, ropes courses.

Camp Motorsport. Registration is OPEN. Hands-on driving education at a real racetrack, as well as the fun of a traditional summer camp! Ages 9 – 16. Age level teams.

Camp Pocahontas I and II. Campers will explore the environment and the life of Pocahontas and the culture of the Powhatan people through activities and arts and crafts.  Using our re-created Powhatan village of Arrohateck, hands-on activities will include cooking, farming, hunting skills, house and canoe building, weaving fishing nets and making pottery, arrows and tools.  Make & take crafts included.  Registration required by June 13th by calling 804-318-8797.

Camp Riverside. Camp Riverside is a unique day camp especially designed to meet the needs of students with dyslexia and other reading related language-based learning differences.

Camp Tuckahoe Summer Camp (Ages 5-12). Camp Tuckahoe is proud to present it’s new summer program! Each week is a new experience with its own unique theme. days are jam packed with crazy games, fitness challenges and sports activities that are guaranteed to bring out  the athlete in every child.

Cat’s CAP is now part of an expanded summer program – Brilliant Summer at St. Catherine’s. Brilliant Minds offers academic enrichment at all grade levels, sparking the learning process in young students and allowing older students to brush up on core curriculum or foreign languages.

Center for Creative Arts. Choose from Dance Camps, Art Camps, Robotics Camps, Chess Camps, and Musical Theatre Camps.  Most camps are half-day.

Charlottesville Ballet Summer Dance Camps is a 501 (c) (3) non-profit dance school that offers Summer Camps for students ages 3-10 years old and Summer Classes for ages 3-Adult. Camp classes are divided by age (4-6 yrs, 5- yrs, & 7-10yrs), which encourages each child to reach his or her highest potential and really enjoy their experience.

Charter House Summer Camp for Teens with Asperger’s Syndrome. Summer is a great time for teenagers to learn new skills and make new friends. Chess – Dragon Chess Camp The Maggie L. Walker Governor’s School Chess Club is hosting a chess summer camp for rising 3rd–9th graders. Instructors are experienced players from the Maggie Walker Chess team supported by advanced players from the greater-Richmond community. Creative Arts Day Camp at VCU For children rising into grades K- 9.  Classes are divided by age, and three to four classes are offered each session. The camp gives participants experience in various art media such as: digital art, sculpture, painting, clay, fibers, printmaking and drawing.  Classes are held on the VCU campus. The Creative Arts Day Camp’s theme is Up Close and Contemporary!  Students will explore the fascinating world of contemporary art, learning about the artistic concepts, processes, and media of today. The Hamlet Project- Bard Unbound and Fireborn Films are proud to offer a unique and thrilling summer camp – part Shakespeare, part Hollywood, and all fun!  We are looking for student actors, age 13-19, who are interested in learning the art of film making as well as in acting in a Shakespeare play. Hanover  County Youth Summer Programs and Camps. The Youth Summer Program is a recreational program held during the summer at elementary and middle schools throughout Hanover County. Activities include arts & crafts, sports & games, field trips, special visitors (guest presenters) and more.

Hargrave Military Academy Summer Camp. Summer session offers both academic growth and outdoor challenges for all students. And, the Academy’s structure provides the backbone for each day, keeping students on task, on target and engaged.

Heart of Ireland. Our 4-day Irish dance camps will give your dancer a taste of both group and solo Irish dancing. Camps meet Monday to Thursday for 2 hours each day – in one week, your dancer will receive the equivalent of 8 weeks of classes! Beginners will learn the basics of soft shoe dancing and show off their skills at an end-of-week mini Feis on Thursday.  Campers in our Advanced Beginner/Intermediate camp will hone soft and hard shoe skills and work on drills and brush-up for the fall semester.

Heartwood Grove French Immersion School. Heartwood Grove French Immersion School presents a two-week Summer Camp: The theme will be “Animals around the World” taught through simple French animal stories, songs, art and games. Henricus Historical Park will present a wide variety of day camps throughout 2013. Horseback Riding at Heldergate Heldergate Stables is offering our day camp for two different session options in July 2014. ID Tech Camps. Williamsburg summer tech camps for kids and teens is a summer program where students can learn to create iPhone apps, video games, C++/Java Programs, and more at prestigious universities nationwide (held at the College of William & Mary, Princeton, Stanford, and others). Click here for more information.

“James River Explorer” Summer Enrichment Camp (sponsored by the Richmond Walks and History Programs) is half day weekly camp for rising 3rd, 4th, and 5th graders who seek science/social studies enrichment in the great outdoors. Jazz Boot Camp 2014. Come to Style Weekly’s KID’S CONNECTION Saturday, February 1, 2014 at the Science Museuem of Virginia to learn about the Richmond Youth Jazz Guild and summer camp 2014. We will be there from 12:00-3:00pm. Our VERVE ENSEMBLE will perform at 2:15pm. See you there!

Jessica Morgan School of Dance: Summer Dance Camps, Intensive and More! Camp, Ages 3 – 11: Students enrolled in our 4 day dance camps will explore ballet, tap, jazz, hip hop, and musical theater. Maggie Walker Dragon Chess Camp (July 7–11, 2014) – After winning the U1200 National High School Chess Championships in San Diego this spring, the Maggie L. Walker Governor’s School Chess Team is preparing to host Dragon Chess Camp for a second consecutive summer. This camp, like last year, is organized by experienced players on the MLWGS Chess Team, and is further supported by advanced players from the Richmond Community. Open to chess players of all levels, from complete beginner to advanced scholastic player.

Master Cho’s Tae Kwon Do Summer Camp.  It is a full day camp, from 8:30 am – 4:30 pm with extended care available. Romp n Roll 2014Romp n’ Roll The officially-fun, officially-famous Romp n’ Roll Summer Camp is coming back to the Children’s Museum of Richmond! It will run weekly June 2 through August 15 at CMoR Central, Chesterfield and Short Pump for children ages 2-6 years (no potty training required). Our daily schedule is action-packed with “kid-tested, Rompy-approved” sessions including Gym, Art, and Music fun! It’s like a big kids’ camp on training wheels; all the fun, learning, and excitement but without the poison ivy!
