If you’re looking for something to do this summer and want to give your kids a safe and healthy environment to have fun and let out all their energy, the Richmond Volleyball Club has programs for children from 3 to 18 years old. RVC’s newest program, Itsy Bitsy Spikers is a developmental program for kids between the ages of 3 to 6 years old. This program is designed to introduce the sport of volleyball and the FUN of fitness. In addition to learning volleyball, the camp will strive to develop motor skills, hand eye coordination and improve listening skills, all within a safe and social environment.
One of our recent participants in the program, Elyse Johnson, states “I learned a lot of volleyball skills and a lot about teamwork.” Her mother, Elizabeth Johnson has remarked on the ability of all of the kids to be able to follow the instructions given to them. “They work very well as a team and kids stay involved in the activities and enjoy it.”
The Itsy Bitsy Spikers program works well to entertain the younger children, and we’ve got something for the older siblings as well. RVC’s All Skills Camp for ages 5-16 are for kids who have a desire to learn the basics of the sport in a fun and energetic atmosphere. These camps are perfect for beginners and intermediate players who want to improve their skills. All campers are grouped based on a combination of skill-level and age. We offer a half-day All Skills Camp for ages 5 –16 or a full-day RVC Day Camp for ages 6 –14.
No volleyball experience? No problem. We’re the fun and fitness experts and we’ll teach you what you need to know. RVC has been in business in the RVA since 1981. Our state-of-the-art facility is one of the largest of its kind in the country. Get out of the heat and into the cool: find something fun for everyone this summer at RVC!
