RevQuest: The Lion and The Unicorn game returns to Colonial Williamsburg’s Revolutionary City for the spring break season March 25 through April 21. Participants in the alternate reality game join the Friends of Liberty while they save the American Revolution by protecting the identity of an important patriot spy. During summer 2012, more than 19,000 gamers participated in the game’s first full season.

Special Evening at Can Can Brasserie at 6:30 pm with Richmond Ballet. Can Can will feature Richmond Ballet company dancers to celebrate Leap Week, offering drink specials such as, The White Swan, The Balanchine and more! Tuesday, March 19

Backstage on the Ballet with Richmond Ballet on East Canal Street. 10am-6:30pm. A special sneak peek of company dancers and The School of Richmond Ballet while they train and rehearse in the studios at Richmond Ballet’s spectacular home base.  Participants will also be able to take a free Rhythm and Motion Class, a new dance-based workout originating in San Francisco, offered exclusively in Richmond by Richmond Ballet.

Animal Feedings at Richmond Metro Zoo 11am and 4pm. Learn about our African penguins at the 11 a.m. and 4 p.m. daily feedings. Join in our keeper question and answer sessions.

Richmond Ballet and The Royal Ballet School will continue their collaboration with a performance featuring The Royal Ballet School Graduate Class visiting from London and members of Richmond Ballet II, the touring company, in the Studio Theatre, followed by a reception with dancers and artistic staff. Richmond is one of only two destinations on The Royal Ballet School’s U.S. trip; the other stop on their tour will be New York City, where they will perform with American Ballet Theatre’s Studio Company.

Pinwheel Planting – Lewis Ginter Botanical Gardens - Every April – during Child Abuse Prevention Month – PCAV and many of its 43 partner organizations around the state plant pinwheel gardens in honor of children in their communities. Lewis Ginter Botanical Gardens in Richmond hosts the state’s signature pinwheel garden every year near a lake in the Children’s Garden. Each year, volunteers plant nearly 4,000 pinwheels to celebrate Virginia youths.
