Swift Creek Mill Theatre Camp
Since 1994, Children’s Theatre Summer Camps at the Mill have offered fantastic beginner and performance-level camps that focus on voice, acting, movement and stage design, and are conducted by professionals in the performing arts. Three camps are offered every summer: two one-week camps are an introduction to a wide variety of theatre techniques, and one two-week camp is performance level, in which the children produce and star in a play before a public audience. The Sylvan Learning Center of Richmond is introducing Math Edge — a new activity this summer for kids to build math skills and avoid summer learning loss.

Designed for kids in grades one through five, Math Edge helps nurture students’ natural math ability and builds on core math concepts in a fun, kid-friendly learning environment alongside other kids with
similar interests. Well-trained teachers manage the small sessions of 12 students or less and offer encouragement, motivation and rewards in an effort to foster independent learning and encourage students to set personal goals. Math Edge is a unique learning experience that also allows students to build camaraderie with a small group of their peers.

Tech Em Studios
Tech Em Studios is an after-school technology program that offers classes, camps and training focused on applied computer science and computer-aided design. With courses in coding, 3D printing, software design and device building, Tech Em’s instructors teach students at all levels the critical STEM-related skills required in the 21st century. By emphasizing art in technology, Tech Em helps students understand the exciting and evolving relationship of technology and art.

Tennis Camp – Making of  a Champion Camps
This camp provides a wonderful learning experience for beginner to intermediate tennis players. Learn the game in a non-pressured, supportive atmosphere through fun-filled and proven teaching techniques. Emphasis will be placed on age-appropriate skills and helping campers develop a life-long enjoyment of tennis.

The Children’s Museum of Richmond (CMoR)
A weekly, half or full day camp, for children 2 ½ – 6 years old.  Children participate in a safe, noncompetitive, nurturing experience where learning is disguised as fun.

Taekwondo Works and School of Dance Arts will have combined all day Summer camps.

Theatre IV Stage Explorers Camp (See Va Rep below)
Stage Explorers is designed to take your child on a fun journey, both onstage and backstage, as he learns about the many roles it takes to put on a show in a professional theatre. St. John’s Church Foundation has presented historical reenactments at the original location of the Second Virginia Convention of March 1775. Professional actors in 1770s attire portray ten delegates, including Patrick Henry, Thomas Jefferson, and George Washington. The delegates engage in the debates and arguments of the Second Virginia Convention, which lead up to Patrick Henry’s immortal “Give me liberty or give me death!” speech. 1:00 pm Doors open, seating is on first come, first serve basis 1:30 pm Music program 2:00.

Visual Arts Center of Richmond Summer ArtVenture Camp: Week-long studio art classes in a positive, nurturing learning environment. Each class provides focused attention on a specific media, skill or subject, and each week brings a selection of unique choices. All classes are taught by a professional artist and artists-educators who will help inspire and develop individual expression. Morning studio classes (9:00am – 12:00pm) and afternoon studio classes (1:00 – 4:00pm) classes are available for all age groups. Enrollment is limited to 10 students per class to allow for individual instruction and learning. Some classes integrate teamwork or collaborative projects.
