Making Sense of Autism

Meet the author on September 27 in Richmond.

Are you trying to make sense of Autism or Asperger’s?

Kathryn Erskine, author of Mockingbird, faced this same challenge and she has done an incredible job of creating a novel that touches hearts and minds. Her realistic story about a young girl with Asperger’s tries to make sense of her older brother’s death.

Now you can meet Kathryn through The Children’s Book Bank of Virginia (formerly Read Aloud Virginia). Kathryn will be in Richmond on September 27, 2011 at two different times and places.

  1. Educator Session A- 11:30 a.m. -  4:00 p.m. at the Library of Virginia, 800 E. Broad Street, Richmond VA. 804.627.2847. A lunch workshop followed
