VMFA Faberge Exhibit – Faberge Revealed: In summer 2011, VMFA will feature the largest collection of Fabergé in the United States. The exhibition includes more than 500 objects and will be at VMFA July 9 – October 2. The Russian jeweler Karl Fabergé crafted objects for the Russian imperial family in the late 19th and early 20th centuries, including specially commissioned Easter eggs. VMFA’s collection, the largest public collection of Fabergé outside of Russia, includes five of the thirteen Russian imperial Easter eggs that are in the United States.

Anthem LemonAid. You can make a big difference by doing something very simple: setting up an Anthem LemonAid stand and selling $1 cups of lemonade. Each registered participant receives a FREE LemonAid kit complete with lemonade, cups, a pitcher, balloons, stickers and signage to help decorate their stand. We provide the supplies and you pick the spot to set up your stand.
SMV – “Is Anybody Out There?” – Friday, July 15, 5-10 pm. Tickets for SkyDay Night are $10 and free for members. Tickets just for LiveSky are $5. This time “Is Anybody Out There?” is the name of a popular LiveSky planetarium presentation scheduled for 6 and 8 pm – and you have a ticket. The entire Museum is open. You can see The Night Sky in StarLab and the planetarium show Destination Universe, take a tour of the solar system at Science on a Sphere, take a Great Balls of Fire scavenger hunt and play Astropardy. As the sky darkens join members of the Richmond Astronomical Society on the front lawn to gaze through their telescopes, weather permitting.

SMV SkyDay Night – Come out for a night with the stars as you journey deep into space without leaving metro Richmond. Sweet Spot Supports Lemon Aid – Sweet Spot is hosting a lemonade stand to raise money for the Children’s Miracle Network and helping to “put the squeeze” on childhood cancer. Visit us at Sweet Spot on Saturday, July 16th from 11am – 7pm and purchase a bottle of our Nesbitt’s Honey Lemonade or Jones Berry Lemonade and every dollar raised will be donated to the oncology clinic at the Children’s Hospital of Richmond.
