Meteoroids are Pummeling the Earth at SMV

SMV has plenty for all ages.

It’s raining fire!

Meteroids, asteroids and comets flying fast and furious as they pummel the earth.

No wait, it’s LiveSky at the Science Museum of Virginia, Friday, August19, 2011. LiveSky is a live interactive planetarium show that entertains and educates all at the same time.

It’s all on Virginia’s largest screen at 6:00 p.m. and tickets are just $5, and FREE for members. Don’t miss this opportunity to see scientific theory on how the Chesapeake Bay was formed, with tsunami waves crashing over the Blue Ridge Mountains. That’s right – waves over the Blue Ridge!

Get to SMV and watch “They Come From Space – Great Balls of Fire” on Friday, August 19.

At 8:30 p.m. join the Richmond Astronomical Society and check out their telescopes for Sky Watch. It’s FREE, weather permitting.

For more information, visit Science Museum of Virginia website, or call 804.864.1400. They are located at 2500 West Broad Street, Richmond, VA.
