The Civil War HistoryMobile – From 1861 to 1865 Virginia.  Event is at the Field Day of the Past: Location: 1741 Ashland Road, Rockville, Virginia 23146 The Civil War 150 History Mobile is an interactive “museum on wheels” housed in a 53’ expandable tractor-trailer. See all of your favorite characters from the Zula patrol as you and your family explore weather phenomena at each of the interactive stations in this special exhibit, at CMoR for a limited time! Test out our interactive weather stations! See what it feels like to touch a cloud with Professor Multo. Step inside a temperature dome to learn about weather extremes. Wizzy and Wigg will teach you how to use the power of wind to move targets in the wind station.

Virginia Museum of Fine Arts – Faberge Revealed: In summer 2011, VMFA will feature the largest collection of Fabergé in the United States. The exhibition includes more than 500 objects and will be at VMFA July 9 – October 2.

Field Day of the Past is a family event sponsored by the Rockville-Centerville Steam and Gas Historical Association.  This show mixes the warm, down-home atmosphere of the county fairs of yesteryear with exhibits and displays of museum quality.  In the summer of 1992, a few steam and gas engine collectors gathered for an informal discussion on the possibility of hosting a steam and gas engine show in Goochland County, VA.

diggity FEST – Fun for the entire family with Diggity Dudes, Hope Harris, Dan Zanes & Friends, and more. Plenty of entertainment, food, face painting, music, dancing, and more. Westchester Commons. There will be entertainment on a side stage during changeover on the main stage.  In addition to the music, DiggityFEST will include a Hands On Area where festival goers are encouraged to interact with the vendors, arts & crafts, a variety of food/drink vendors, and, yes, a dunk tank (dunk a Dude!).
