Sweet Spot Adds New Events and Gifts

If you thought Sweet Spot was just a place to buy delicious, hard-to-find, fun, whimsical, and unusual candy, then think again! Did you know that they have plenty of special events, gifts, and fundraising opportunities for every occasion?
 
Special Event
  • Candy Bingo is the first Friday of the month with plenty of free events. Call 360-7768 to reserve your spot or swing by to see if there is room to join the bingo action!
  • Birthday parties at Sweet Spot are incredibly scrumptious and delicious! Be sure and check out all they have to offer. They do it all and you can enjoy without worrying about the preparation or clean-up.
  • You get 20% off when you bring in your report card with all A’s or A/B’s and a chance to enter your name into our raffle and attend our meeting for the Secret Society of Candy Tasters (they pick 12 names from their raffle and then kids meet to try new candies and receive a certificate — and one winner receives a Sweet Spot t-shirt. Invitation to the after store hours includes a secret password to enter making it special.
  • Sweet Summer Book Club kicks off for the summer. The first meeting is June 28 at 7 pm and the book they’re reading is Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. In addition to the book discussion, they’ll have a few treats like gobstoppers and fizzy lifting soda. It all makes reading even more fun and best of all, it’s FREE!   • In June, around Father’s Day there will be a candy Lego building contest.
  • Every month there are new events so visit the website often.

Special Treats

Thirsty? Sweet Spot’s refrigerator currently holds more than 70 fun flavors of bubbly cold soda.  Most of their sodas are made with real sugar instead of high fructose corn syrup.  They even have a variety of  all natural sodas with no artificial colors or additives.

Need chocolate? Sweet Spot now carries Christopher Elbow chocolates which have been featured in Food & Wine , O Magazine, Fine Cooking, Southern Living & In Style Magazines.  The No. 6 bar (dark chocolate and pop rocks) was ranked #1 in Food & Wine Magazine.  Sweet Spot is currently the only shop in Virginia to offer these delicious chocolates.

 

Gifts Galore
 

Sweet Spot offers ready-made gift baskets to suit every sweet tooth and taste. Baskets range from retro-themed to the “you just got your braces off” basket which is full of gooey candy. They can also create custom gifts and favors for parties or special events and they work with any theme or colors.

 

 
 
Fundraising
 
Sweet Spot is also available to work with charities for fundraising events. They’re happy to host Candy Bingo nights, Spirit Nights, and other fun events to help you and your friends raise money for charity.

Upcoming Event on April 14th

Sweet Spot welcomes their new neighbor in a delicious way. They welcome All Fired Up at West Broad Village on Saturday, April 14th.  The Grand Opening of All Fired Up includes open house activities and giveaways.

Sweet Spot joins the Open House fun by offering candy inspired activities from 1:00 – 4:00 pm on Saturday, April 14.  Join us at 1:00 pm for a soda tasting, ongoing raffles and prizes throughout the day, and at 3:00 pm they’re having a Blind Candy Taste Test (how well do you know your candies?).  Free event for all ages.
