This Memorial Day, recycle your mobile device and either put more “green” in your pocket or help connect active members of the military with their families by recycling your old devices and chargers.
It’s easy, environmentally friendly and a small way to salute those who are serving.
Who doesn’t have a collection of mobile devices piling up in a drawer somewhere? Through a new trade-in program from AT&T these devices don’t have to stay in your drawer – and they won’t end up in a landfill.
First, most people don’t know these devices have real monetary value. In fact, the average customer credit received for devices in recent trade-in trials was more than $80.
How does it work and how does this program help soldiers:
The new trade-in program pays you IMMEDIATELY for qualified trade-ins, or lets you donate the value of your old devices to Cell Phones for Soldiers, a non-profit organization dedicated to providing deployed and returning troops with cost-free methods to communicate with family while serving in the United States military.
Trading in your old device is as easy as 1-2-3.
- Wipe the personal data from your device, following the steps at www.att.com/ecospace and restore your device to factory settings.
- Bring your old devices in to any AT&T company-owned store. We’ll calculate the trade-in value based on make, model and condition.
- Choose to use your credit to buy new AT&T wireless products, pay your bill or donate to AT&T’s supported Cell Phones for Soldiers organization.
The credit is instant via an AT&T Promotion Card, and we’ll send in your old devices to be reused or recycled.
AT&T has all the resources you need to support our troops and lower e-waste, go to our store in Short Pump at 11563 W Broad St (or any AT&T store in your area) and donate today!
