Real Richmond: Did You Know There’s a 350 Foot Zip Line in Richmond?

Are you looking for something totally different exhilirating this summer? Then, this might just be it!

Wild in the City: Slip, Sip & Zip tours are offered every other Tuesday through August in conjunction with Passages Adventure Camp. Like all of their exciting tours, it has a great food component – in this case a sumptuous picnic from Alamo BBQ delivered by bike!

Before the food begins, participants enjoy a hungry hike of Brown’s Island and the Pipeline, discovering tons about how people can enjoy and explore the city and riverfront. Lots of nature, arts and adventure are just waiting to be explored. After the picnic, it’s off to Belle Isle and Passages takes over so guests can zip across the 350 foot zip line across Belle Isle Quarry – yep – 350 feet!

At its start, it’s 40 ft above the water. It’s a quick trip, but one that you can only get on this unique Richmond tour (unless you’re a Passages camper or parent).

It’s just $50 for the afternoon for those who zip, $35 for those who’d rather just watch. Events are suitable for ages 8 and up and a weight limit of 250 lbs. to use the zip line.

The next Wild in the City is Tuesday, June 26th, 1:30 p.m. -4:30 p.m. so check it out and sign up for tons of fun!
