TCBY, The Country’s Best Yogurt and frozen yogurt innovator, is proud to announce the grand opening of a new location in Richmond. Local residents Les and Claudia Davis have opened their first TCBY, conveniently located at 9468 West Broad Street. The new location, the first and so far only one in Virginia, features TCBY’s self-serve frozen yogurt, new brand identity and fresh store design.
“We believe that TCBY and Richmond share the same high standards in excellence with a strong focus on community involvement,” explain Les Davis, local owner of the Richmond TCBY location and 55-year resident of the area. “Richmond has done a wonderful job of being a home for a variety of small businesses and is a wonderful small business advocate. We believe that Richmond is one of country’s best places to live, and are excited to offer the community a new TCBY location with The Country’s Best Yogurt.”
Store Design and Self-Serve Prototype
With a distinct color palette and welcoming social lounge, the new store boasts a clean and modern design with smart functionality for both consumers and employees. Upon entering the store, customers will find six soft serve machines, with 12 flavors boasting rotating nonfat, 98 percent fat free, no sugar added frozen yogurt options, and dairy-free sorbet, as well TCBY’s latest innovation Greek Fro-Yo.
In addition to traditional TCBY products, ready-made pints and quarts, as well as TCBY yogurt cakes and pies, will be available in the store’s To Go freezer. With a 1,000 square foot dining room and an outdoor patio, there is plenty of room for customers to sit and relax and enjoy their TCBY yogurt while watching one of TCBY’s flat screen televisions or surfing the web using TCBY’s free wi-fi.
Grand Opening Celebration March 9
In celebration of the official grand opening, TCBY will host events at the location on Saturday, March 9, 2013. Customers can expect fun for the whole family including:
- free yogurt
- live music
- hourly drawings
- a caricature and balloon artist
