Beyond Barbie Celebrates Real Women

Do you know someone who has suffered from Domestic or Sexual Violence? Has the unthinkable happened to you or someone you love. Have you experienced life and death and simply want to celebrate?

Then you will enjoy Celebrating Real Women with Beyond Barbie on April 14, 2012 from 7-9 p.m. The event takes place at the Holiday Inn Koger Conference Center, 1021 Koger Center Boulevard, Chesterfield. Admission is just $10 and advance tickets are available at 804.318.8265. Tickets will be in slightly short supply because this is a very well-attended event,  so please call to reserve tickets in advance.  There were more than 500 attendees at Beyond Barbie last fall and they definitely expect to sell out early this spring.

You will celebrate with dynamic women as they share their stories through art, music, dance and storytelling. With a stellar group of performers for this fabulous event — it promises to be a great celebration.

Beyond Barbie is a celebration of life as women authentically share about birth, life, death, art, aging and domestic violence through story, song and dance. It’s presented by the Chesterfield County Domestic and Sexual Violence Resource Center, Chesterfield Domestic  Violence Task Force and the Women of Color Caucus of the Virginia Sexual and Domestic Violence Action Alliance.
