Give a Child a Home: Change Who Waits

It’s astounding to know that there are more than 5,800 children in the foster care system in Virginia. Of those, there are 1,000 legally free to be adopted. That’s 1,000 children waiting for a permanent family – and a home!

The Change Who Waits Rally is on May 5, 2012 and it’s the best time to find out how you can make a difference in someone’s life. You can hear from current foster parents about the joys and pains of foster parenting, and learn from people who grew up in the foster care system.

Take advantage of the day to gain inspiration and get information about the process of becoming foster parents. Connect with foster care agencies to learn more and explore how you can change the future of children.

For more information and to register, visit ChangeWhoWaits.com or attend the Foster Care Rally on Saturday, May 5, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. The event is at Grove Avenue Baptist Church, 8701 Ridge Road, Richmond VA 23229.
